With us, you can enjoy your summer stay in a turn-of-the-century setting, surrounded by the tranquil greenery of the town park.

At STF Villa Eira Hostel you will find charming and individually decorated rooms that pay homage to the town’s rich history. Several of our rooms are inspired by local historical figures such as Estrid Ericson, founder of the internationally renowned design company Svenskt Tenn, and reflect the town’s cultural heritage with vintage furniture and period wallpaper. Many of our rooms also offer a private balcony with beautiful views of Lake Vättern. We also welcome four-legged family members in our three dedicated dog rooms.

The hostel offers everything from double rooms to spacious family rooms, all carefully decorated with furniture reflecting turn-of-the-century aesthetics. Guests have access to a shared kitchen and common room, perfect for socializing. With its central location, the hostel is an ideal base for exploring Hjo. Lake Vättern is on our doorstep and local restaurants can be found just a short walk away. Villa Eira is also proud to have a Green Key certificate, which means that we work actively for sustainability according to the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

At Villa Eira we offer a unique accommodation experience where historic charm meets modern comforts in the heart of Hjo. Each room has its own special character, designed to give our guests a memorable stay.

Room types and capacities:
- Twin room: Ideal for couples or single travelers.
- Family rooms: Available in different sizes, small for smaller families and large for larger families or groups.
- Estrid Ericson Rooms: These rooms offer additional amenities such as pre-booked sheets and towels, with beds made ready for when you arrive.
- Six-bed room: Ideal for larger groups who wish to stay together.
- Dog rooms: We offer special rooms for guests with dogs, with direct outside access for walks.
- Extra beds and travel cots for children: Available to hire, ensuring comfort for all ages and needs.
Interior design details:
- All rooms are decorated with period furniture and wallpaper that harmonise with Villa Eira’s historic character.
- Several of our rooms are dedicated to a famous person with a connection to Hjo, and are decorated to reflect the person’s era and influence. A display cabinet in each room provides interesting information about the historic personality.
- Many rooms still have tiled stoves from the original building dating back to 1892, adding to the historic atmosphere.
- The majority of rooms offer balconies with views of Lake Vättern or the Town Park.
Amenities and Facilities:
- Wash basins are available in all rooms.
- Communal toilets and showers on each floor.
- A well-equipped kitchen and cosy living room are available for all guests, complete with games and books.
- Free WiFi available in all rooms and common areas.
- Sheets and towels can be hired.
  Sleeping bags can be used in combination with sheets and pillowcases.
- Departure cleaning is included in the price to ensure a hassle-free departure.

Are you planning a larger event such as a conference, family reunion or school trip for more than 10 people?

For larger events such as family reunions, birthdays or camps, we offer the opportunity to rent the entire property. This includes 42 beds divided into 12 rooms, access to the guest kitchen and living room, as well as the veranda with seating.

Barbecue areas and activities are available by the lake.
